Studio Collision Studies

Water, ash, flower, egg, powder, chalk, and flame photographed as controlled high-speed events.

Studio Collision Studies brings together the constructed side of Kwok’s practice.

Studio Collision Studies brings together the constructed side of Kwok’s practice. These works use controlled light, saturated colour, and high-speed timing to hold events that would normally vanish too quickly to be studied.

The cluster includes water forms, ash, flower, egg, powder, and liquid colour. It shows how the Collision series turns force into line, volume, atmosphere, and temporary sculpture.

Cigarettes exploding into ash and blue smoke against a black background.

瞬間

Ash, smoke, and force break open inside a blue-black field.

Pink flower bursting apart with fragments and dust against a black background.

Flower Impact

A blossom ruptures into dust, petal, and black space.

Egg cracking with shell and liquid fragments suspended against black.

Breaking Point

Shell and liquid turn rupture into fragile architecture.

Three fish-shaped forms hit by red, yellow, and green powder against black.

Color Burst

Red, yellow, and green powder make impact visible as colour.

Dark green water droplet hovering above a liquid surface against a bright green field.

Green Orb

A droplet becomes a small planet held between gravity and design.

A vertical blue water column and droplet suspended against a blue background.

Blue Column

Water briefly stands upright as a figure of blue light.

Orange droplet suspended above a small liquid peak against an orange background.

Orange Droplet

A falling droplet and rising peak nearly meet inside an orange field.

Magenta liquid column with small droplets suspended in a saturated pink field.

Magenta Collision

Liquid becomes dense, bodily, and electric under magenta light.
