Editorial and publication
State the publisher, article, book or programme, language, media, territory, placement, print run or digital audience, publication date, and archive period.
Image Licensing
Photographs on this site are copyright Ricky Kwok unless otherwise noted. Editorial, publication, exhibition, educational, institutional, and commercial uses require a written license.
License scope
Each license is written for one approved image use.
A request should identify the photograph, project or publication, media, placement, territory, duration, audience or distribution, exclusivity, deadline, requested changes, and budget range. The studio will confirm availability, file specifications, credit, rights, and any fee in writing.
Sending a request does not grant permission. No use is authorized until both parties have agreed the scope in writing and any required conditions have been satisfied.
Rights and use
Copyright remains with Ricky Kwok. A license defines what may be used, where, for how long, by whom, and whether the use is exclusive.
State the publisher, article, book or programme, language, media, territory, placement, print run or digital audience, publication date, and archive period.
Identify the venue or institution, exhibition or programme, dates, display format, catalogue use, requested works, audience, and whether files or physical prints are required.
Describe the organization, campaign, channels, placement, territory, duration, distribution, exclusivity, and any requested crop, text overlay, retouching, or adaptation.
Approved files are prepared for the licensed output. File dimensions, colour profile, delivery method, credit line, deadline, and usage limits are confirmed with the agreement.
Usage policy
Portfolio display, social sharing, or access to a preview file does not create a public, stock, or reusable license.
Copyright is retained by Ricky Kwok. Every approved use must carry the credit line agreed in the license and preserve any required caption or context.
Cropping, retouching, compositing, text overlay, colour changes, animation, or other alteration requires advance written approval. Approval of one layout does not approve later variants.
No permission is granted for AI or machine-learning training, dataset inclusion, facial-recognition systems, model evaluation, generative or synthetic media, or automated derivative creation unless expressly agreed in writing.
Model and property releases are not assumed. Availability varies by photograph and must be confirmed. Political, defamatory, misleading, unlawful, or otherwise sensitive contexts require specific review and may be declined.
A license may not be transferred, sublicensed, resold, entered into a stock or template library, used beyond its approved scope, or represented as ownership of the underlying photograph unless the written agreement expressly permits it.
