Responding
Information is used to assess and reply to print, exhibition, curatorial, licensing, press, and general inquiries and to provide requested follow-up.
Privacy notice
This notice applies to rickykwok.com and to information sent through its contact and image-licensing forms.
Effective July 10, 2026
In brief
The studio collects only the information needed to understand, respond to, and document a request.
When you submit a form, the studio receives the information you enter, such as your name, email, organization, artwork of interest, intended use, deadline, budget range, and message. The form also records a lead ID, the page where the request was sent, the initial landing page, and available referrer information so the inquiry can be understood and attributed.
Do not submit payment-card details, identity documents, medical information, passwords, confidential source material, or other sensitive personal information. This website does not provide account registration or an online payment checkout.
Use and disclosure
Inquiry information is used for direct studio communication and related business records, not to create an unrelated marketing profile.
Information is used to assess and reply to print, exhibition, curatorial, licensing, press, and general inquiries and to provide requested follow-up.
Lead IDs and source details help prevent duplicate handling, connect follow-up to the correct work or project, and understand which pages lead to qualified requests.
Where a request becomes an acquisition, exhibition, publication, or license, relevant correspondence may be kept as part of the transaction, permission, provenance, or rights record.
Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or unrelated promotional email. Any future subscription would require a separate choice.
Service providers
The website relies on limited third-party services to deliver forms, reduce spam, and measure site performance.
Form submissions are processed by FormSubmit so they can be delivered to studio@rickykwok.com and an automatic confirmation can be sent to you. FormSubmit states that its submission archive is retained for 30 days. Its documentation and privacy terms apply to that processing.
FormSubmit may present Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish people from automated abuse. Google’s privacy policy and terms apply when that service is used.
The site uses Google Analytics to measure page use and inquiry-funnel actions. The default implementation can collect session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, on-site activity, and a client identifier stored in first-party _ga cookies. Google signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled in the site configuration.
Form names, email addresses, message text, lead IDs, and other entered form contents are not intentionally sent as analytics event parameters. Analytics page URLs and referrers are stripped of non-campaign query parameters before collection. The current site loads analytics automatically; browser blocking controls and Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on can limit collection.
The site uses browser session storage to remember a query-sanitized landing page and referrer and, after a form attempt, the lead ID, inquiry type, artwork context, source page, and submission time. It does not store the entered name, email, organization, or message there. Session storage is limited to the current browser-tab session.
Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to obtain professional advice, protect rights or security, comply with a legal obligation, or complete a transaction you requested.
Retention and safeguards
Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose.
FormSubmit states that its submission archive is retained for 30 days. Email copies and studio records may be retained separately while an inquiry is active or reasonably needed. Records connected with a sale, exhibition, publication, license, dispute, tax requirement, or other legal obligation may be kept longer.
As of July 10, 2026, this Google Analytics property is configured to retain event data for two months and user data for 14 months, with the user-retention period reset on new activity. Google notes that these controls do not affect most aggregated standard reporting.
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect studio records. No internet transmission or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please limit submissions to information necessary for the request.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held by the studio, subject to records that must reasonably be retained for legal, rights-management, security, or transaction purposes.
